Designed for HAY by Rui Pereira & Ryosuke Fukusada, Brim is an ambient pendant light with a pressed glass shade in different colour options. With inspiration borrowed from retro glass pendants found in familiar urban settings, Brim Pendant builds on a classic typology using updated materials and construction. The internal sphere conceals the bulbs, which is surrounded by a distinctive fluted glass shade that enhances the light diffusion, ensuring a soft, even spread of light. Brim’s compact size makes it ideal for hanging in clusters, as well as on its own in smaller spaces as in hallways or over counters.
Portuguese designer Rui Pereira and Japanese designer Ryosuke Fukusada collaborate on projects that tap into their respective cultures to engage users in new and unsuspected design experiences. In both their practices, the focus is on creating long-lasting products that can pass from generation to generation, encapsulating in the process experiences and feelings
