The Ridge Planter brings the elegant, sculptural expression of the Ridge vase to a versatile, functional planter, perfect for adding a touch of nature indoors. Crafted from high-quality earthenware, Ridge Planter features a matte exterior, a ribbed edge, and a glazed interior for an organic, deep look. Subtle handles on each side facilitate easy movement between spaces. Available in three sizes – size 253×153.5x130mm is ideal for small to medium plants, herbs, or succulents and perfect for windowsills, desks, shelves, kitchens, and bathrooms. Size 188x142x153mm offers a versatile and manageable option for small to medium-sized plants, while size 267x195x240mm is great for larger plants or groupings, and perfect for living rooms, corners, and entryways.
Material: Liquid earthenware clay is poured into a plaster mold to form the design of the Ridge Planters. The planters are polished with a wet sponge and fired at 1000°C. After this initial firing, the inside is glazed with a glossy finish, while the outside is given a matte glaze. The planters are then fired again at 1100°C to complete the process.

About the designer
Kaksikko is a Helsinki-based design studio that specializes in ceramic tableware and wooden furniture, founded by Salla Luhtasela and Wesley Walters. The duo shares an interest in functional, understated forms that highlight each material’s tactile qualities, as well as in the production process itself. They met while studying at Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture and have collaborated on a broad range of professional projects under the studio name Kaksikko.
