Designed for HAY by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the Balcony Bar Stool is an elegant and functional stool for outdoor use. The rectangular design is softened by the slightly bowl-formed seat and slender legs, with the multiple holes in the seat strengthening the construction, as well as creating a distinct expression. Made in powder-coated steel with an outdoor primer for optimal resilience and durability, the Balcony Bar Stool is available in two different heights and a variety of colour options, making it well suited to all kinds of spaces, from small balconies and terraces to gardens and outside café and bar areas.
Construction
Welded steel construction featuring square tubes and punched sheet metal seat and backrest seamlessly welded together.
Optional armrest in stainless steel welded to the frame. Plastic glider pre-mounted on each leg.
Materials
Powder coated steel with a two-component coating; a primer and an outdoor powder coating which provides a barrier to corrosive elements, making it suitable for outdoor use.
GLIDER Black recycled plastic.
STACKING UNIT Black recycled nylon.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec the Paris-based design brothers from Brittany have been working together since 1998. Ronan is a graduate of the École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and Erwan attended the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts in Cergy before starting their own studio.They have transformed the design industry and offered new perspectives of materiality and purpose. For HAY, they have designed the Palissade Collection, Balcony Collection, CPH Collection, Can Collection, Passerelle Collection, Élémentaire Chair and Pier System.
