Is both a contrast and a symbiosis of traditional materials and a futuristic form. The geometric seat made of moulded plywood rests on a modern base. Like a chameleon, the armchair adapts to classic and traditional interiors as well as to avant-garde and loft environments. It can act as a conference, restaurant, and hotel chair or as an office armchair. Its elegant form will also offer a nice welcome to visitors in waiting rooms.
WOODI is an original design project, awarded the Red Dot Design Award in the 2012 edition of this most prestigious global competition in the field of industrial design.
The armchair is made of moulded beech plywood in a natural oak, walnut, or maple veneer or in HPL laminate in white or graphite. There are 3 versions of internal fabric- or leather-based upholstering available: the seat only; the seat and the backrest; and the seat, the backrest, and the sides.
WOODI is available in 3 variants of its base: a 4-pointed aluminium cross base self-reset mechanism, a 4-legged steel frame, and a 5-pointed aluminium swivel cross base on castors – featuring a seat height adjustment mechanism.
The aluminium bases can be polished or powder coated in the following colours: white, platinum metallic, anthracite metallic. The steel frame is powder coated in white, platinum metallic, anthracite metallic, and chrome.
