With its wide, welcoming seat and low height, Hee Lounge Chair is definitely the most laid-back model in the Hee series. Although the elemental design is visible here in more relaxed proportions, it still retains the same light, understated aesthetics, and functional properties as the rest of the family. Stackable and weather-proof, the versatile Hee Lounge Chair is available in several colour options as well as a hot galvanised variant, making it suitable for numerous indoor and outdoor contexts in both public spaces and home environments.

Lounge chair: 12 mm and 6 mm solid steel rods with outdoor powder coating or hot dip galvanised treatment. All suitable for outdoor use.
Glider: Plastic. Standard on all variants. Suitable for all floorings that are not too sensitive. Matching glider colours. Hot dip galvanised variants with black gliders.

About the designer
Hee Welling is a Danish furniture designer who founded his own studio in Copenhagen in 2003. The son of a cabinetmaker, Welling’s fascination with production techniques, materials, and machinery was fired as a child. He went on to study at The University of Art and Design in Helsinki, and received his master’s degree in furniture design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Centred around the idea of creating technically accomplished products that can reach a wide audience, his designs are characterised by a great sense of proportion and quietly elegant aesthetics.
Welling has received a number of design awards, including the Bo Bedre Award (Denmark), Good Design Award (USA), and has been nominated as Danish designer of the year in 2013 and 2014. For HAY, Welling has designed the About A series and the Hee Collection.
