Designed for HAY by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the Balcony Lounge Bench is an elegant and comfortable seating solution for outdoor use. The simple rectangular design is softened by the slender legs, with the multiple holes in the wide seat and back strengthening the construction, as well as creating a distinct expression. Made in powder-coated steel with an outdoor primer for optimal resilience and durability, the Balcony Lounge Bench is available with and without armrests in a number of different colour options, making it a versatile bench that can be used in all kinds of spaces, from terraces to gardens and other larger outside areas.
Lounge Bench and Lounge Bench w. arm are stackable up to 6 pcs.
Construction
Seatings | a welded steel construction featuring square tubes and punched sheet metal seat and backrest seamlessly welded together.
Optional armrest in stainless steel welded to the frame. Plastic glider pre-mounted on each leg.
Plastic stacking unit pre-mounted on Lounge Bench and Lounge Bench with arm. Pre-assembled.
Tables and benches | a welded steel construction featuring square tube frame and punched sheet metal top. The tables and benches consist of two leg sections and one tabletop. Plastic glider pre-mounted on each leg. Requires assembly.
Materials
Powder coated steel with a two-component coating; a primer and an outdoor powder coating which provides a barrier to corrosive elements, making it suitable for outdoor use.
GLIDER – Black recycled plastic.
STACKING UNIT – Black recycled nylon.
OPTIONS – Balcony Seat Cushion with an anti-slip backside

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec the Paris-based design brothers from Brittany have been working together since 1998. Ronan is a graduate of the École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and Erwan attended the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts in Cergy before starting their own studio.They have transformed the design industry and offered new perspectives of materiality and purpose. For HAY, they have designed the Palissade Collection, Balcony Collection, CPH Collection, Can Collection, Passerelle Collection, Élémentaire Chair and Pier System.
